Unusual request...
Does anyone have, or know where I can get/get made, a technical drawing for a 31K petrol Tank? I'm kind of assuming here that Yam had one to work from/give their supplier in the first place....
I was kind of hoping to stumble on an original on the www, but not having any luck. There's loads of pics and diagrams, but nothing that I can see that gives dimensions, etc.....
I'm sure you can see where this is heading.....!

You’ll need a faro arm or similar , a CMM and cloud point software at least An old school craftsman could probably do this as well , but there all retired ....

I reckon there is as well; if someone else was selling them I'd buy a couple for future use.....if they were any good, that is. That's the problem- I'd want them to be an EXACT copy of the original. As jonw says, most of the Indian copies look like they were made from a photo. By Stevie Wonder.
Not sure how many the minimum make would be- even at 50 or 100, I'd need a lot of storage room to keep them! I reckon I could sell 50 of them though........

I'm sure the Taiwanese company that made the LC ones were 200 minimum and they are drying up now
In saying that I think a lot are in cupboards just in case they are needed
Even if the manufacture cost is only £200 you are looking at someone having to bankroll £40,000 which is where the problem lies
Hopefully another solution can be found

So true Steve on all counts. I wonder just how many LC owners will not understand that those were basically a one off order and you wont find one soon. Little chance of a reorder when so many bought them (killing the demand) coupled with those that hoarded.
I think early YPVS tanks would be great, I'd love some too, but I reckon the time is not yet ripe, more desperation in the marketplace is needed... keep asking for them over and over on all the forums and they will get made. Then you need to buy them before they run out. Wait at your peril...

I was told there will not be a second LC batch Hi Level have been punting them all off to get rid of them I still have my fingers crossed for a carbon 31k tank 🤓 Steve

Vdue one in carbon is about £1300, but that has an integral oil tank as well, so must be cheaper for a 31K.

I was told there will not be a second LC batch Hi Level have been punting them all off to get rid of them Steve I heard both these things as well, as I said its highly unlikely given the MOQ and the fact everyone who wanted one has one (and some have more than one) and suppliers have been sold cheap stock etc Anyone who wants one reading this 'Buy now or regret it later' is my advice, its what i was getting at in my earlier post, but was perhaps a bit subtle lol. surly now the moulds are made for the lc tanks why would there still be a minimum order of 200 be required,,norbo whats your thoughts on this Im not Norbo but I will say that they would need to set up the machines and do a run, there will always be a MOQ to get the economy of scale with anything from a factory. One off setup and small quantities attract much more cost. FWIW and I hope Im not talking out of turn if Norbo still have LC tanks for sale, but I assume not; Webike have them still and also do Japanese painted versions. Ive got one, looks amazing.
