Does anyone know what the black wired bullet connectors for on the 4L0 loom flasher relay connector? Something to do with the self cancelling indicators depending which relay you have fitted.

Does anyone know what the black wired bullet connectors for on the 4L0 loom flasher relay connector? Connecting the "spare" black to the the yellow/black on the relay plug bypasses the self cancel indicator circuit. For the self cancel to work the yellow/black at the plug must be connected to the yellow/green on the loom, a 3 pin relay must be fitted, with the pins oriented correctly, an indicator cancel relay fitted to the loom behind the headstock & a working reed switch fitted to the speedo head. OEB Thanks for the info, I know that my German bike doesn't have the little box of tricks up near the headstock, that is part of the self cancel system too, I believe.
