Got really bad experience with pattern seals for my forks. The brand was “extreme seals”.. the left was leaking within a year and both were kind of stiff and did not allow for proper fork operation.
Anyway, replaced those with OEM which are 11 Euro each from the local Yama dealer. OEM are “Nok” brand.

OEM is a two way seal with spring fitted both sides. Extreme Seals is a two way seal with spring fitted on one side only.

Cheers. It says in Haynes that LC2 uses 253cc of 10w30 SE motor oil in the forks, is this correct?

I've used fork seals from Tourmax for all sorts of bikes with no problems.

I'm replacing mine now (4L0) 1981. After I've removed the clip above the seal, I can't see where the seal ends and the fork leg starts. I started by prying out the rubber parts to the seal but am left with what looks like a metallio ring rusted against the fork leg. I'm nervous about trying to pry that using the fork leg top as the fulcrum - any tips please? Haynes says to pry out the seals using a screwdriver and YouTube has a lot of vids with guys pulling the stanchion out against hammer-style to remove the seal.

I use the slide hammer method, doesn't always take out the seal, but once the stanchion is removed and out of the way it's easier to get the seal out.
