Hi all, Just in the process of refitting my clutch on 250lc and notice a bit of movement on the clutch basket when tightened up, the centre hub is tight but the movement seems to be between the basket inner and the inner bush. When you slide the bush into the Shaft it seems like there is no play ,the slight movement is between the basket and inner bush. Just wondered if this is normal at this stage and when filled with oil all will be ok? There doesn’t appear to be any visible wear on the bush or the basket sleeve. Also, Haynes manual states 54ibf ft for clutch centre nut, I take it this is correct!!! ? Many thanks Shaun.

there are several rubber bungs between the basket and the primary drive, so long as it is just a few mm (about 5) it should be ok

Yeah I’m aware of that mate, its not that though ,it’s a bit of wobble on where the clutch basket fits onto the centre bush that slots onto the output shaft, there’s a bit of movement, not much, think it might go when filled with oil , hoping anyway!!
