On a 4LO, does adding a bikini fairing make any difference to aerodynamics? Have you found less wind pressure on the shoulders or dead flies on the visor for example?

All show no go really. Some hybrids look good with them on, not a fan on a standard LC myself.

It's a scientific fact that these are only beneficial in the snow! Luckily I don't get much snow.

Can understand the Old Guy requirement for less wind inna face solutions. But the Laughable looking Pro Am fairing sold on to LC wannabees.. back then .. isn't it. Perhaps cobble up Piece of Plexi DIY .. Lookt to Yama Scooter solutions A bit rustic / homely but actually simple And effective. Those also increase top speeds on a lo powered Yama Scoot..

Not much love for these fairings then?
I've gotten so use to bikes with screens/fairings over the last 20 years or so, so I'm really noticing the helmet buffeting and dead flies after a ride.
If I fitted a bikini fairing tomorrow, would I notice any difference in that aspect I wonder??

I noticed a little difference on my lc2. It should in theory alleviate some wind pressure.

Buy yourself a nice 'Windjammer' fairing, should stop the flies etc (for those of us old enough to remember)

I like the Pro Ams on the real LC as in your Avatar I think they just look right if I had an LC and it didn't have one and one turned up I'd buy it and fit it. I think it just comes down to the owner's personal taste really some fit handlebar fairings just because they think it looks right or suits the bike I don't really think they do a whole hell of a lot where aerodynamics are concerned especially if you're a little larger framed than you once were its more of a 'looks thing than anything else I reckon.
I once had a 250N with a Polaris full fairing on it with screen which kept the weather and flies off so that was great it was functional and looked right but I wouldn't go putting one on a 2 stroke it would just look stupid. If you do a lot of miles in all sorts of weather and you're a fairing type of guy and like the protection, it offers, even if you have to bury your head in the clocks to make use of it and like the aesthetics of it,'all good. If it's to be fitted on a nice 2 stroke 'like an LC or X7 its gotta look right, a friend of mine some years ago had an Invader c**kpit fairing on his candy gold GT250 sprayed to match and that suited the hell out of it it's more a personal preference thing than anything else.

Long time since I've seen a 250N,...certainly remember those Polaris fairings back in the day, now you've mentioned it.
