If it is down to a ghost/spirit/paranormal activity, can you think of any reason why it's happening now? Anyone you know recently passed on for example?

Make yourself a basic Ouijja board, go in there after midnight and try to connect with "the other side" Then have a look at the pics afterwards !! Seriously, don't do that. I got roped into it on a night shift once - never again ! Scared the crap out of 4 hairy arsed Firemen Dusty

A white one that's very overweight by the look of the first pic. But seriously .. I'd say it is most likely a bat .. the CCTV cameras show all kinds of shapes if a spider builds a web over the camera and runs across it quickly and two of the stills here certainly look bat-shaped. The huge blob on the first pic could easily be a bat flying close to the camera.

That does initially look freaky
Now the ex alarm engineer bit creeps in
What type of alarm sensor is it?
Obviously not infra red as not suitable for outdoors so maybe microwave or ultrasonic
Could it either be a feck off huge moth or a bat
Night vision sometimes reflects of things and appears odd
Now the paranormal bit?
Has it always happened?
Is it always around the same time?

Maybe you should put a potters wheel in the garage one night and a lump of wet clay and see what happens?

Get as many pics as possible
If the night vision is reflected or totally absorbed it will give funny images
Get a lamp in there so it's not dark and see what it catches
You don't want the other option which has to be done sometimes to explain strange false alarms. You have to spend the night in there

Hi Stusco, I get exactly the same type of thing on mine regularly. It freaks my young lady friend out LOTS when I show her the pics, she is convinced its ghosts too ! I put it down to a fly, moth or something like that ? I dont think the shutter speed of the camera, can keep up with the speed of the wings of a small flying beastie, hence why some of the pics look very strange or blurred ? I was intreauged at first, but ghosties never crossed my mind. Cheers, Steven.

It's the leg of a spider. I get them all the time on my CCTV. Use spider replent spray on the PIR/Camera. Stops them for about 2 months

I would say that is a big moth, I get this on my outside CCTV cameras, but they are 5mp cameras with night vision, so I can go back frame by frame, when I do that I can clearly see what is causing it, but when I just run through it a normal speed I get white images like that, took me a while to work out what it was, but then found the frame by frame button on playback !!

Get your hands on an old tape recorder bang in a tape put it in there and leave it on record then have a listen in the morning and see if it picks owt up, it's not unheard of despite all the naysayers that don't believe in this kinda thing ghosts most certainly "do exist I knows this as I have had paranormal experiences myself over the years. It will probably turn out to be what's already been suggested like a moth or a spider or some such but if it "isn't it would be interesting to keep the camera rolling as it were and see if it picks up something with more form to it, I take it it's just the garage that's having these occurrences nothing going on in the house?
You "can use a mobile phone to record on but I dont think they record for long do they or at least mine didn't at the time you have to keep checking it and hitting record again, I've used one at my mums place which "is haunted and have picked up very clear voices in the early hours on a few occasions sends chills down your spine at first but interesting to listen to.

I did wonder about a moth originally, but it had already been suggested.
It was the second picture that got me. It seems to cast a shadow on the door, so obviously a solid object?
