Hi all, so I'm not sure about putting a bikini faring on the 31K, maybe I'll get one painted up to match in case I want to add it later though. So what are you guys using for headlamp brackets with RGV VJ22 forks? I bought a pair of really nice looking billet alloy ones but firstly they are a one size fits all (not made clear in the ads) but having had a look with them in place they are way too long, the headlight is to far away from the headstock. I'd like something that looks good, not just one of the cheapo steel ones on ebay.
Thanks. Phil

I just bought a pair but not fitted them yet
Highsider brand off m and p for 70 quid
The fit 50 - 54mm by having alloy inserts that fit in the mounts

I know what you mean, they all look too long, pushing the headlight too far forward.I also dislike the clamps that wrap around the forks. I always fabricate my own. Drill and tap lower yoke, and make a tube from there to top yoke, and fix to existing lugs. Then fabricate the headlamp “ears” to suit the light you using, that way you can tuck it back close to headstock and you also have no unsightly clamps. Can’t do pictures but if you want I can pictures to your email Baz

I made my own bracket up and used R1Z HL mounts I think XJ1200 and Diversion's use a similar HL mount.

At least yours came with inserts Steve, mine were from an Aussy company and not cheap but looked good, just way too long.
Thanks, Baz, not a bad idea, but you go me wondering about getting a YPVS bracket and using some different brackets onto that, a bit like Colin has done.

Phil I was going to buy the Aussie ones but decided by the time I got hit with import tax the UK ones were about the same They look near identical too It comes with a load of inserts, enough make all 4 mounts anywhere between 50 and 54mm Once I sort out what ones I need the rest will be spare so may be of use to you (If I use the brackets instead of r1z bracket) I'm using gsxr forks so upper and lower mount is 50mm On my 31k hybrid I used a modded ypvs n1 bracket and a home made lc horn bracket Steve

I've bought a few off eBay. I see 2 types, all adjustable, for forks 28 to 40mm and 42 to 50mmNeither set cost more than a tenner and they are very well made...sadly all from China like nearly everything nowadays. Trump thinks the US is the world's super power does he? f**k tard lol Alex

I got my billet ones CNC'd by a forumer many moons ago, but I dont think he does them now.
I like the Colin's solution, very neat.
