Hi all,
Has anyone fitted a new chain to their F2 (I expect others are the same) recently and noticed the position of the axle in the adjuster slots?
I talking about a standard 106 link with 17/39 sprockets.
Is it all the way to the front?

should be towards the front so you can adjust it backwards as it wears and stretches.

should be towards the front so you can adjust it backwards as it wears and stretches. If possible I’d like an accurate measurement. I’m thinking of using a 107 link chain to avoid some clearance issues on a different wheel, but worry that if I do I’ll have very little adjustment unless I elongate the slot, which I would prefer not to have to do. I always buy a longer chain than I need and then cut off the links I dont need, mostly Ive found the longer lengths can cost the same or even less depending on the brand and/or who sells it.
