No one will ever pay 260 dabs for a set that needs a paint. You can buy a pair of improved ones for £100 and then paint them...… Or will they...

I always thought a LC in Kawasaki Lime green would look "nice", but was never brave enough

I always thought a LC in Kawasaki Lime green would look "nice", but was never brave enough I harboured similar impure thoughts. After seeing Dusty’s orange LC, I wonder what the green ST colour would look like? I think it is critical what colour decals you use. Custom colours are probably a must, but then it depends as some standard colours may go with certain colours. Mouse’s LC is a clear example. The blue decals for the white bike go really well a black base. Jon

There was a Pv with wire wheels - owned by a fella called Trig, and that was painted light green with, if I remember correctly, silver decals. It looked lovely I like non standard paintjobs, but you have to be careful to get it right, and decal colour as well as other components like wheel colour can make or break a custom design. Dusty

Oh, and I nearly went with Ford ST green for my hybrid, but orange won the day - mainly because Yamaha did produce early aircooled Rd's in a shade of orange, so I felt it was a (sort of) Yam colour ! Dusty

Yamahe have done a few shades of green both on early air-cooled and later bikes. In fact the green on the op's link is not too dissimilar to the green on a standard yamaha rs125 I once owned.

I've done Kawasaki's in racing green, hell my truck is that colour as I had a ton of paint left over, but my last LC was lime green when I got it. Pigging awful!
