Getting down to the nitty gritty now with the build but not sure which LC frame to use
The UK frame has had a few repairs like side stand mount and front lower frame tube repaired and some tie bar mounts welded on I have the UK log book and is ready to go once built
However I have a German frame with half the German log book and the Nova certificate which is registered on the Government site
It is in good condition and had no repairs , ready to go etc, but will have to be UK registered and age related plate etc
I am allergic to any paperwork LOL so was going to go with the UK frame Not so sure now !

I'd use the best frame you've got. Sounds like that's the Kraut one!

Maybe another thing to consider is the steering lock aspect, whether or not having to use another key to activate it will bother you?
Personally I'd use the frame in the best condition, if it happened to be the German one than I'd probably cut off that lock and weld some tabs on so that a UK ignition lock could be used.

I'd use the german one... at least you also have the option of 2 steering locks

I was going to have the German style steering lock working. so a slot/hole would have to be cut into the RGV steering stem
I see the UK frame isn't getting the love LOL

Now I've seen the pics I say UK
Stand repair looks good even if slightly wrong angle
I reckon using a slightly longer side stand to correct the lean may actually help with the usual interference between the stand and gear lever
Tie bar mounts are a bonus

Lean may also be due to the jacked up back end though too

Repair looks good so I would stick with the UK frame. Once the pipes and rad are fitted, no one will see the repair unless you run over them ha!

Dont let the paperwork be an issue. If you have the Nova and the date of manufacture on the part of the logbook you have, then it's a case of build and mot the bike, send off the registration form and you'll get the Uk reg back in less than 2 weeks (at the moment). First reg is £55 plus you have to tax it so it's gonna cost you just under a £100, so extra cost with the German bike. If you go that route, getting the German frame Uk registered will increase it's value of course, so then you will have 2 Uk registered frames so I would see getting the German bike registered as an investment for the future. The Uk frame looks fine to me - once it's coated and built up most people would never know anyway. Ultimately, go with the best frame condition wise Dusty

I did my German registration stuff in Jan as Dusty says its not really that difficult more than happy to help you if you need it. Looking at the work on the UK frame I would build it on that one. As you suggest once blasted give it a good look over and if any welds need cleaning up then do it then, once painted it will look great.

The repairs / welds look to have been nicely done, I wouldn’t worry about using the UK frame at all.

I was going to put a bit of paint on the stem then set the steering lock with the little bolts on my lock stops so it doesn't hit the tank or radiator guard Then a centre punch through the hole in the frame where the lock sits and hopefully that will give me the mark to drill ?
Think the German stems have a slot instead of a hole though ?
Do Geman locks er lock when the steering is turned to the left so you can put the key in and out ?

I can't see how you would even get to the lock when the bars are turned to the left, I'm pretty sure that mine only works when the bars are turned to the right.

Yep, bars to the right
I was going to remove the lock, turn the steering to the right then marking the stem through the lock hole
Yes they have a slot to allow a range for bearing adjustment
