About time. Cop drivers are now allowed to pursue and drive into moped thieves. Brilliant.

Riders with no helmets...tough titty. The new laws say your fault for not wearing one.

Tactical contact should always be allowed
Why let an asshole rip through streets at 100mph putting everyone at risk because they are frightened they hurt the driver/rider

What really is required, is the arming of the plod helicopters preferably with talented, retired service personnel. Its safer shooting downwards rather than across........

The way armed officers are now treated after any altercation is disgusting, takes balls when involved in split second decisions. And any criminal activity on the suspects behalf should absolve any litigation against any armed officer and the force. But that's just common sense pragmatism......and will never do because that will impede the ill gotten gains of the legal "profession"

I wonder if this change will cover all of the UK police forces?

Hope so there's a pikey b*****d running around here on a eff off loud trials bike, no helmet, no number plate and riding through public places almost knocked over a young mum pushing a pram the other day. I did call the police and they are almost powerless...but they said if I could get a photo of this retard they'd almost certainly have him on file. So I will.

I wonder if this change will cover all of the UK police forces? England and Wales not just the Met, following changes in guidance from the CPS.

It just gets better and better. Kids out there are almost feral nowadays. And even more murders in London. This has to stop, so for once I am glad the police are getting more of a free hand.

This gets even better. After seeing some mindless berk on a 49cc XXXXmachine today almost hit a woman holding a baby I stepped in. He came flat out down the local high street, locked up the rear wheel to try and maybe 'power'slide it around a corner, failed, almost high sided into a woman holding a baby, gained some control and I went to grab him. He kicked out at me, said something that I couldn't make out over the noise and sped (sped lol) down the road looking back at me making the usual kindly gestures. I did notice the road he turned into and later tonight I parked up and had a walk. To my surprise his heap of junk was parked up right in front of me. Took a pic and dialled 101. Took about 15 mins to give all the details, the police woman was very helpful and finally said I will do a vehicle check to see if it's known to us. We will get back to you.
She did. About 2 hours later. Moped seized and will be crushed. No MOT tax or insurance. Owner has no licence of any kind and is well known, might get time in a young offenders place (even better).
I've made a start. Let's get these vermin off the roads.
