I'm working away at the moment, so i can't check my bike. The bike is fully built up with pod filters. I have been thinking about putting the original air box back. is this an engine out job?

I wouldn’t have thought so
A bit of airbox yoga may be in order though

Done it many times, in/out. Install through the oil tank side with it hanging out.

Just to comfirm after reading what I wrote, English was never my strongest at school! Definitely can be installed with the engine in.

Engine in. Can make more room with inlet rubbers off if required.

I've done it with the engine in. It was a while ago, but I vaguely remember you have to manoeuvre the two large bits in and then join them together while roughly in place. Yes, it's possible. Good luck.

Yeah, remove inlet rubbers. It can be easier to unbolt the rear shock too.

Did mine but think I had to take just the right side inlet rubber off
