I’ve the tie bar frame and 31k engine, just not sure if people fitted them or not as I’ve not got any? I can buy some I suppose as I’m only collecting at the minute.

They are there for a reason - your engine will move about in the frame if you don't fit them and eventually something will break. Exhausts first I would think ..

I have run my Hybrid for 28 years without Tie Bars and not had a problem

Most replacement pipes have slip joints and spring retention at the head, that would resist breaking unlike the standard pipes.
