Hi folks, Just joined the forum as I've finally managed to get hold of an RD350LC here in Singapore. Amazingly my wife agreed to the purchase this time. The last time the topic was surfaced (back in 2012) divorce was nearly mentioned, I'm sure. I'm really happy to see such an active and friendly forum here (have been lurking a while)... I look forward to being a part of it. Pics here (hope the link works). https://photos.app.goo.gl/jy54fBzkCbA5gai79Cheerybye James

Welcome in, bike looks nice, although I think I'd take a closer look at how the front brake pipe is routed, don't want that wearing through, especially after you just got it.

Thanks for the warm welcome , I see what you mean about the kink in that brake line. I'll have a look at it once I get the bike home from the shop at the end of the week. Am currently scrounging the rest of the cash to pay for it. They don't go cheap! Cold comfort that they're dear in the UK too. Apparently this one belonged to a collector here (though I think it's had a respray)... Cheers James

Nice find, not at all easy in Singapore I suspect. hows the cost for keeping an old bike on the road there? I know old cars are very very expensive. Looks like you might need a set of headlight ears, otherwise its not too far off original.

Yeah, not cheap. Every 10years you need to pay about £3500 in tax! This one has until 2022 left before I'll need to worry though. Tbh, I'll likely convert it over to the vintage vehicle scheme, where you pay about 10% of that tax in exchange for only bring able to use it 48 days a year... A necessary evil as I reckon they'll make it impossible for 2strokes to be ridden on normal plates within the next 5 years.
So here's me, making hay while the sun shines...
Cheers,
James

It comes with the original windshield (I've added a pic to the link in my first post. Is it ears on place of windshield, or will both fit? Ta

Welcome in James. Lovely looking LC there. You'll enjoy this helpful friendly forum. I was in Singapore in 1989 and remember some really tasty sports 250s and 400s.
