This has come up on the R1 forum , Bike belongs to a members cousin, looks like a California rz350 , has different pipes, probably as originals are heavily restricted , looks all there though , I’m debating having a punt on it , assuming the price allows for the inevitable rebuild spend , what you all reckon ?

The pipes are Spec2'sI think. Was the restriction in the standard pipes? Are the carbs restricted as well ?

Cali std pipes have cats i think. A hot trick back in the day was to buy Canadian OEM pipes, which are like the ROW, ie no cats or smog stuff in em.
Carbs are single pull like all USA and Japanese stuff is. Can convert to twin pull with diff carbs (PWKs perhaps) and ROW cable, but basically I dont think they are restricted as such for Cali.

Seat looks a bit odd. Screen does too. It's either very dusty or needs a respray and yes, then there is the cost of an engine rebuild. Contact the seller I say and see what is the least he would take for it.

Looks like the original pipes are laying beside the bike in the second pic

Those are DG pipes. Bad toomey copies. Silencers are riveted on and always come loose.

Windscreen is a stock one, different bars. Looks like a Corbin seat. Prices here in the US are sky high on RZ's. I wouldnt be surprised to see it go for 4,000-5,000 dollars.
