Over the past few years Ive seen more and more packaging like this appear on ebay. Ive never bought anything in a packet printed like this from a Yamaha dealer, so Im of the opinion that these parts are copies, but thought someone might know for sure, someone must have bought some LOL. One of the giveaways for me is this line in the ad: PACKAGING # Part come with genuine packaging less label
No Yamaha part comes like that... If this is fake I would think Yamaha would be all over this.... hmm...

Thinking about it, I reckon parts in this packaging originate in India. Im sure in the beginning thats where I saw them appear from...
Of course, really ive answered my own question...

Be worth letting Yamaha UK know so they can look out for them.

India or China. Chinese ones are a bit obvious though, they say Made in China on them lol.

No sense me talking to Yamaha UK... it on Aussie Ebay from an Aussie Seller. I doubt Yam Aus would be that bothered, I bet they only have 3 employees these days. :/

I did initially wonder if they were OEM Indian parts as Yam couls have a factory over there, but when there are no part numbers on the packets, well... none of the pics show any of the labels, they must be a dead giveaway.

Those sort of items would be boxed for protection.

Hello Jon, never seen that in France too. It could be from India, here is pics I have found on internet: The aircooled RAJDOOT RD350 was produced in India from '83 to '89 !: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajdoot_350Xavier

Wow, so these could be real then... strange Yamaha would use two different types of packaging but stranger things have happened...

I was looking for some blocks and considered these late last year. I asked the seller were they genuine. They replied they were genuine but not Made in Japan. I ended up spending a bit more and getting them from Singapore. Came in a box with the part number and printed Made in Japan. For the extra $50 I thought it was good insurance.
