Hi spookoverload, light the pipes and smell the fumes..... Oh believe me, I can't wait, but I do have the feeling of 28yrs being away from an Elsie, I might have Rose tinted glasses on, hoping it still gives me tingles when the band kicks in & the allspeeds sing, (sorry, I was always allspeeds, microns never quite did it for me :-) )

I thought about getting one has a second bike a few times over the last 5 or more years I guess, only after an house move/lifestyle change, I were in a position to get one. What model do you think you want and why?

Must have done something right to get here as had bikes since I was 7 so why blow it now haha What model do you think you want and why? - Gotta be a 4L0, just because that's what I had back in the day. Had a look at a stunning black/red one yesterday, but tbh the colour just didn't do it for me as mine have been white in the past. Love the Blue but reckon they will be a bit hens teeth

Welcome aboard . What are you looking at getting, Hybrid or standard? Cheers mucker, TBH, I'm open to suggestions. the only real stipulation is if it is modded they can be reversible mods & could go back to std if need be. I have a couple of old cars, few mods to both but could be back to standard. My Mex is running megasquirt fuel injection on GSXR throttle bodies, & the whole conversion I only drilled one additional hole to secure the throttle cable. Hybrid, may be another thing, as much as I admire the work, not sure they really do it for me, some look over-forked if that makes sense & a bit too butch compared to what they were, but again, if I can reverse the mods at any given time, then why not lol So to answer your question - I'm open to anything lol. Set myself, (without additional budget creep) of up to £5k

Don’t over estimate the performance either. A decent LC will have 40 bhp which gives the same performance as a run of the mill modern hatchback and they drink like Oliver Reed on a stag night !

Whenever I ride mine I tell myself I’m just going to have a steady ride it’s not about going flat out everywhere etc but as soon as the thing is up to temp you just revert to teenage mode and it’s flat out everywhere. I guess that’s why we ride them.
