Funny question (as ever from me) but... well.... Ive found the ignition switch ive just rebuilt has cut wiring (yes i should have looked into that before!) and Im wondering if i should extend it and if so by how much, i dunno how much the DPO cut out of it (or why).
Else, I could use one from an LC as I have a set of the wiring from a trashed ignition switch... I assume the length is much the same, ie same distance for the plugs to run on those two bikes, both into the headlight bow, or does the 31k run down under the tank?

31K and Elsie should be the same....goes into headlamp. Pretty sure the wiring's exactly the same, too.

Cool thanks guys, I knew it wasnt like the F1 and F2 as they are much longer as I also have them on my bench as im doing a bunch of them (already done an LC set all keyed alike for a project) but this was the only LC2 that i had in my boxes. Its no hassle to check the connections and swap pins as needed etc, but the length was a concern and I couldnt find a pic of an OEM online either. I'll dig out the spare LC tomorrow and fit up with that, weight off me mind. I hate DPO chopped electrics its just unnearving as to why theyve done what they did when you see the bodges Ta again!

All sorted now, I can confirm the LC and 31K use not only the same connections at the switch but also at the plug. And, the spare LC loom was quite a bit longer than the trashed 31K one I had. Perfect use of spares.
Thanks everyone who helped!
