Good evening, I have a rd350lc I purchased as a project, during the strip down I found that one of the electrical plugs that goes to the engine, looks to have been cut and has had spade connectors fitted. The trouble is it has been cut for all three of the white wires which go from the generator to the regulator rectifier. Does it matter what order they go in? or is there a way of me finding out which wire goes to which, as there all white with no indication.

Logic would suggest white is white, no difference...
I will face this issue shortly, so I am interested in the "official" response..

Thanks guys, I thought I would check as I didn't want to burn out a regulator or generator coil

A bit of a design fault IMO.
The wires are thicker to handle the current, but the connector pins are the same size as elsewhere, and seem to small to me.
They tend to overheat and burn out. A 1/4” spade may not be original, but it’s probably a better choice.

My neutral and oil warning light stopped working a while ago . The fault was traced to that white 4 pin connector which had over heated . OEB pointed me to a Yambits part number CBK007 replacement . Its not as heavy duty as OEM but it has worked nicely . Really easy to fit as well .

Hi Marcus, and welcome to the forum. The white wires can be connected in any order, as the other lads have said. You can buy 4 or 5 way connecting plugs on Ebay, or fit a 3 way connector and fit bullet connectors for the pickup and neutral wire (white/red, blue)
Hope that helps
Cheers, Mark
