I have bar risers on rgv triples, is there a clutch cable long enough or do you need a custom cable?
What are people using?

Just the standard lc2 length
Renthal 758's on my ypvs/rgv hybrid and fits fine
The n1, f1 and n2/f2 are shorter

I’ve made all my own cables after realising pattern ones are usually crap, really crap, with no feel at all. Clutch feel was stiff, dead ,wooden feeling. Pulled away like a learner!! Get my kit from venhill, and easy to make your own custom cables, with a feel easily as good as genuine stuff. Clutch kit is about £17,so you can’t go wrong really.

OEM Yama R6 (?) cable on my lc with valvie. Fits Fine.. now Took a bit of care in routing though as it's longish. But being oem it works Beautifully. So slippery that the Pesky cable kept falling out of it's outer during my struggles fitting it. Also has a threaded clutch end bit so one can stop using that ineffective wire cable clamp and use the case boss.. which works as another adjustment point.
One can easily do worse.

Was there any particular year for the R6 cable?

Yep , get some cable kit and make your own . Only stuff I cant make is tacho / speedo cables . Years ago my late father had access to some kit to make them, the company he worked for has long gone .
