So having fitted the NK kit and knuckle I realise that the 31K isn't going to fit anymore, lucky as I nearly bought another 31k unit! So is it a std length RGV unit that I need now?
Thanks, Phil

Interesting, I'm usually around 15st. So the GSXR is same length, I guess it would be, most bits seem similar. Amazing how much more the Suzuki shock is compared to the Yam units available.

Just to revive this, can anybody confirm the length of the RGV unit, looking at Google I think its either 307 or 330, conflicting information. If it is 330 there are many other units of similar length, so many options it seems.

Just managed to find info on RGV forum, VJ22 is 310 and VJ23 is 320. In case anybody else is looking for the info.

How long is an r6 or Fazer shock?
People fit them to ypvs but have to change the bottom mount due to it being a fork rather than an eyelet

R6's vary on age, but most around 330, seems on the RGV forums that they go for GSXR600, similar length and apparently ok if you "a bit heavier" there are actually quite a lot of 310mm units out there, but its a case of weight and springing I guess. NK asked me if I wanted a second set of dogbanes to raise the back end, so maybe a slightly longer shock would be ok, I just don't want the bike to looked "jacked up"
