Hello smokers I am Marcel from Haarlem in Holland. Like this forum. So i have to give some in return. I am rebuilding my 1983 31k. Fazer 1000 front is in. But i like to keep the original swinger. And want modern 17” tires. So szr are plenty available in holland. This is belgarda as you call it. But the szr sprocket hub is probably wider than the tzr125’s. Today I took the sprocket hub 4su apart. And good news is that ring can be taken out for fitment. This gives 15mm more space at the left wheel adjuster. Next job is to shorten the hub and bring the chain alignment 9mm inside.

Hi Marcel the SZR rim is slightly bigger than the Belgarda they both have Brembo cast on them the Belgarda back rim is 17 x 3.5 and the SZR is 17 x 4.0. If you have the SZR rim i have some measurement for you as i use the standard power valve engine in my frame. My swing arm is also small Maybe same size as YPVS. I would have to confirm this by measuring it. I cant measure anything at this moment but will probably be able to do this over the weekend. I live in the Europoort area of Holland

Thx Toby I have now a new anker stud on the swing. On the sprocket side i have a 13mm wide collar. The sprocket holder i took the 15mm ring out. Chainalignment will be done by milling the sprocket holder. Next job. Here some pics.

Hi Marrcel, I just had a quick measure of my wheel carrier and it is about 38mm thick. You can use this as a rough guide.

Use a TZR 250 2ma sprocket carrier it is much narrower and fits straight in th SZR wheel. Chain will line up and all you need is a 2mm spacer each side take up the gap. May be easier to use the 2ma caliper and mount too

There is space and flesh enough. Milling is cheaper than buying another carrier. And offset sprockets are not the best way to go in my opinion. I will post my measurements for szr swaps😜
