350LC, when the engine is at 'normal operating' temperature, where about's should the needle sit on the gauge? Took this picture today, no more than 10 degrees outside so a usual bleak January day in the UK. Looks like I need to lower the idle speed a tad too.

Many thanks for that diagram OEB, I never even noticed those notches in the green section. Lol
Anyone else actually ride their LC in Winter? Does the needle sit lower than the 80 degree mark??

It was 28 here in Sydney yesterday and my temp gauge does not go much higher than that when moving so I think yours would be normal. No thermostat. Your tachometer looks in nice condition.

I have one of Norbo's wide radiators and this combined with a 250 engine it's hard to get it up to temperature. My solution is to use a piece of vertical blind cut up to size and bolted to the radiator.

I have a piece of plastic from a black 5ltr oil bottle bolted to my LC rad . I would remove it in the warmer months but found it can stay on all year round with no problems.

The temp needle on my bike sits in pretty much the same spot and as I always understood the physics to suggest that two strokes operated more efficiently when colder, that would seem to support the temps our bikes run at.

Many thanks chaps, I'll keep an eye on it, come to think of it, I think the two I had back in the 80's ran pretty cool most of the time. Can't wait for the Summer now.
