3 types of ypvs forks
Lc2 waisted (thinner section between top and bottom yoke ideal for LC headlamp brackets)
Lc2 non waisted
N1/F1
Lc2 forks fitted with lc2 yokes will go straight on an LC and brakes/muddy/wheel will fit.
N1/F1 are about 30mm longer but muddy and brakes are different fitment

Ah! I don't have the bike in my possession yet, so not sure, its the 350 I bought from Fozzy, a blue 31k. I didnt realise they were different. 30mm makes a big difference, the ones I am looking it are 720 to centre of spindle.

Thanks very much for that, I wonder if 720 is too short, i'm losing with 17" inch wheel too so a loss of 45mm maybe too much and make it handle like a pig.

Good point, looking at the web it seems the actual difference between the 90/90 18 against the 120/60 17 is 44mm so a drop of 22mm, so I'm dropping front 42mm. I thinks thats going to be too much. Back to the drawing board.

Maybe fit some F2 forks as they are 30mm longer, How much will you be dropping 22mm?

Use a 120 70 tyre then.
The second number is a percentage so a 90/90 has an 81mm sidewall
A 120/70 has an 84mm sidewall.
You only loose 13mm going from 18 to 17 wheel so only 10mm between 90/90 18 and 120/70 17
Also don't forget the softness of standard forks, the 10mm is probably taken up with static sag
