Guys weighing up a few option on what bikes to get rid of, 4 have already gone, with around another 3 maybe 5 on the chopping block, this is my own bike bought as a keeper, new paint no decals 9000km matching numbers german import uk reg all original panels, restored a few years ago, the pump side case needs painting to make it really nice, and there is a ding in one of the pipes (courier did this) will let the video do the rest..
its not a advert to sell it as its not for sale, I just know once it goes its hard to find a really nice one, but will make up my mind
yes I know it needs a cleam

Unfortunately there’s no Parker’s guide for RD’s.
Realistically I’d say £5k. Put it up for £6k if your in no hurry to sell just to test the water. However I often keep my eye on what sells and what doesn’t, and YPVS’s north of £5k stick around unless they are a rarer model.
Just my guess.

Jon its what I was thinking to be honest, I have sold plenty of ypvs, two waiting to be collected now but nice ones prices are all over the place..

Another thing is timing.
Wrong time of the year to be buying or selling a bike.

Nice bike , I would think 4 to 4,5 tops , if it was a uk bike in standard colour definitely 5 to 6 , but who knows these days, there seems to be plenty of people with money to burn about at the moment.

Its a nice bike real nice some bits need doing like the engine casing but on the holl its a very nice clean bike i have 1 very similar but may be a little cleaner with a bigger rad and 28mm pwk carbs and a sweet set of spannys fitted. i would value my one at about 5K so id value this one at a little less 4.5K

Horace as I said I don’t think it’s worth £6k either as it is not the most desirable model. However I think £4K is a bit short, but that’s only my opinion. If It was £4K and I had the money spare I’d have bought it as an investment even though I don’t really need another RD. I think we both agree around £4.5 to £5k to actually sell the thing. Mind you if he’s in no hurry why not chance a bit more? He can always drop it or take an offer. Having worked on rebuilding 4 RD’s recently I know how much money and effort it would have taken to get it to look as good as it does. Jon

Agree with horace n jon think you would get 4.5k for it at the moment maybe more at the right time?Don't know what it owes you fozzy but if you make a nice little profit then sell and move on if you feel you have to many ??

Another thing is timing. Wrong time of the year to be buying or selling a bike. Jon Only partly, bad time to sell, good time to buy due to prices naturally lower. Wouldn't put me off buying and not riding for a couple of months till it brightened up.

Not only would you probably wait for the good weather to ride it, but I for one struggle financially just after Christmas. Winter for me is project time where I lock myself away in the garage with the heater on. Jon
