Was looking to buy some OEM fuel pipe for my LC resto... but as with many yam parts like this you can often buy a longer length/amount of the same base product for lesser money if you know which part numbers to run, perfect for those discontinued part numbers as well (ie dont sell 3cm lengths now, but can buy a 3.2cm length and cut it down with no hassle etc). So, what I'm really after is to buy a few meters in one length of the correct pipe, but yam dont sell it like that of course, instead Im looking for longer lengths of yamaha part numbers that I can cut to fit what I need. NB for those that dont know, this approach also works the same with fairing trim and brake reservoir hose as well of course... So... Does anyone have advice on what part numbers are the best bang for your buck with this?Oh and yes I do only want OEM pipe for this, In this instance those meters of generic-too-fat-pipe I have already just will not do on my resto... that might turn some off but hey thats the resto world for ya  |

Oh and, do I need a mix of 6 and 8mm or is it all 8mm?
And... any advice on a number for a long length of carb drain hose too?

Actually fowlers are showing stock available for the OEM hoses specifically for the LC too just look at the petrol tank section on line.

Thanks Robin. Tho both old part numbers now supersede to 90445-092K1 which is a piece of straight pipe of length 420mm. Thats why i was asking about a longer version initially. Yamaha sells the pipe by part number based on lengths for the machine in question when they first create the bike, later they sell you a more generic version and have you cut it down, that saves them on storing part numbers which are basically the same thing. Anyway, if youre going to have to cut pipe down you may as well look for the longest and best value bit of pipe you can find, hence this thread. In fact 90445-092K1 isnt bad value at $4.77 when the part number OEB linked is just over $13 for 1150mm in length (from what I can tell from online sellers, tho OEB says 1500 - at 1500mm it'd be better value than 90445-092K1 of course).

ive since discovered by talking to a nos parts supplier here that you need to be careful with buying the 092K1 oart numbers as only the modern stuff is long, in the old days yamaha had a bunch of parts that were this number it seems, some are very short. make sure if you order it from someone that they know you want the brand new stuff.
