Well very interesting however I think that yam is well overdue a rebuild and I bet would start a lot better with some new rings. Also from the sound of the high idle when warm I suspect she’s really rather lean!!! But that’s another story I’m sure. Interesting back to back so thnx for sharing.

I used to chuck whatever I could get my hands from at work for free in my LC, chainsaw oil mostly, ignorance was bliss, a standard LC isnt highly strung so thats probably why we got any with it, something more highly strung would be better off with a better quality oil im sure.

Remembering that even the Meanest of Current Oils is of higher spec than what was current when our engines were designed/in production.
