Hi,
I have a MK3 rd125lc which also uses the powervalve. Basically to turn the valve open (flush with the exhaust port) all you need to do is remove the powervalve cap (on mine- right hand side of barrel, sat on bike) Remove the exhaust to be accurate to the position the valve has moved to and turn the end of the valve until flush with the exhaust port, lock the valve back into position with the cap, refit exhaust. You will then find the bike will go like stink as soon as you hit around 6500rpm- 7000 and will rev completly out ;D. However it should be noted you do lose a lot of flexibility at the bottom & midrange, the way to get round this if needs be is to fit the servo kit as previously mentioned. Hope this helps.

hi guys thanks for the info. presumably you can 'tune' the amount of power by not opening the powervalve all the way, say if you wanted to keep some bottom end power. Also, is it possible to fit the servo etc from say the 350YPVS?

had a tzr 125 in 1987 opened up the power valve knocked a couple of the baffles though in the standard end can, modded reed block, spacer and filter also you could cut open the standard exhaust and remove the lagging around the sides and take out the plates and tubes then weld up exhaust then you might need to re jet ie plug chops also you could try bigger carbs, open out reed stops the tuning is about the same as a lc, 115mph on the speedo
