Whilst the ever suffering wife was out at work today, I put the YPVS engine cases in the dishwasher to give them a clean up.
Three and a half hours later the dishwasher broke and the door wouldn't open because the cycle wouldn't finish. Wife comes home, just as I manage to get the cycle to end and get the stupid door open, showing my lovely shiny engine cases. I did consider putting some GUNK degreaser in the soap tray but didn't.
Long story ( rollocking ) later and I'm now in the shed with a bowl of hot water cleaning the rest of the engine parts. Some wives have no sense of adventure, which is what I said to her , which is why I'm now in the shed, I'll probably be in the shed for the next few days. :-)

I've hidden my new re-built crank under the spare room bed, the seat and petrol tank are stashed on top of the wardrobe. If she finds out I'll probably be in the shed till new year.

If my missus knew about a tenth of the stuff I have accumulated, I would be living in the lock up with it! 😳

You load of wusses! :-)
Mrs helps posting out items I sell and gets a nice curry etc out the profits. She even gives me a hand holding a spanner here and there.
She also advises on the correct cooker settings for baking on paint onto freshly painted barrels.

It's difficult to post this now that we're on jug talk! When I was 14 I shared a bedroom with my older brother. Our old dear never noticed that we had a complete RD200 in bits liberally scattered around our room. The frame was under his bed, the forks, wheels and motor (which we rebuilt in the kitchen when she was out at work) was under mine. Other bits were hidden on shelves behind books etc. I told her this a couple of years ago. She scowled, laughed and then said she had wondered where the oil stain in front of the fridge had come from. I may have spilt a little 2-stroke when I was dropping the barrels on...
