Hi Chaps, never used any sealant gunge inside tyres but i remember reading years ago that you had to ride the bike for a distance to spread it around rather than let it settle in one spot which would cause problems.. marti That's correct, my can stated a minimum of 6 miles.

If I liked following rules.I'd have a super dream in the garage Rules are one thing, one's safety is another. If that stuff let go at speed on a track, not only are you putting yourself at risk but fellow riders too.

i use gloop in my tubed tyred bikes. i`ve not noticed it affecting wheel balance, but then it does stay liquid within the tyre. have yet to stop because of a puncture along with my mates who also use gloop. some of my mates dont like using gloop and we`ve had to stop when they get punctures. maybe we`ve been lucky. a mate who uses gloop reported that when he renewed a tyre he could see where it had worked on his tube. it probably would`nt fix a split or torn valve due to tyre creep. if nothing else its a bit of piece of mind. we do also carry tools and tubes when abroad because of sods law.
