A word of warning reminder. This seal has only done 350 miles and look at the state of it. I got paranoid and decided to replace with genuine Yamaha items after all the warnings on this forum ,so glad i took heed.

I suppose not everybody knows, but 'expensive genuine' seals are less than £20, you'd be mad not to use them how much did you save by buying the cheapo's ?

It was part of a seal and gasket set off ebay.

Seen this so many time son hear , These are the cheep ones you get in the full kits , when ever you see a full kit of seals they are never any good .yam are more but whats that cost to striping the motor down

And this seal of course is the magneto side and would of been sucking in air leading to all manner of horrors. Still it didnt take long to replace as i turned the engine upside down thus didn't have to strip down the top end as i only did this a short while ago after fitting a Cool head off you Norbo.
