The Pv hybrid vacated the shed today, and has moved back into the centrally heated garage for the winter. Last couple of cold nights I found condensation forming on the alloy parts if I spent any amount of time in the shed, so I decided to move her whilst I had some time. Garage will be a bit more cramped now but as the white Lc is virtually finished I can put that at the back and work on the pv. If you can seal your shed a little, you can run a dehumidifier to keep the moisture at bay.

Hi Steve The white bike came with them already fitted. The orange bike's brackets are a mish mash. I bought a pair of brackets from M&p but didn't like the fork clamps, so I used the "ears" with some different fork fittings that I already had. Dusty

Maybe you've still got moisture coming out the concrete slab, seem to remember have a similar problem years a go with a sectional garage base I did, following year it was fine. They do look like a nice endowed pair!! The white looks the fastest. Mark.

I think the condensation issue is a warm body - me - in a cold environment. It wasn't streaming or anything like that - more of a "bloom" forming on the metal, -but I did think if we had a really cold winter then it might be a problem. The shed is pretty draught proof and it's insulated and lined. I just think it was the cold air and the warm me !! With the Lc nearly done my attention will soon turn towards the pv, so it seemed a good idea to have it in the garage which is the warmest room in the house due to it's relatively small size, big double radiator plus the boiler is mounted on the wall in there ! Hi Des I wanted them both to have the same main components ie; wheels, forks, swingarm, handlebars, clocks, headlight, footrests. I wanted them to be the same but different if that makes sense !! If I ever do another one it may be radically different, but for now these are, just about, how I want them to be Dusty

Hi Morgy Wheels were something I really considered changing. Before I got the orange paintwork back from Mark Cordwell, I did consider swapping the wheels over between the 2 bikes. I like white bikes with white wheels anyway, but I thought I would wait and see. I think the orange paint goes well with white wheels, and I also think the black wheels suit the white/red Lc, so I didn't bother swapping them. I did try my spare white paint set on the pv hybrid to get an idea of the look if I did change them; 20170810_140117 by David Miller, on Flickr I know I could swap bodywork from one bike to the other for a change, but I always wanted the Lc to be white/red, and the pv hybrid to be a bit more lary !! Dusty, great photo - they both look perfect. The amazing thing is, the photo doesn't do either bike justice: both are even better when I've seen them in "real life". I have to agree that the garage is the hottest room in your house .

I like them both the same I think. May change once I have ridden both of them though. The engines are very different, power and delivery wise. I've never ridden an Lc on the road !! although I have had various pv's, which I've always been happy with performance wise. I was keen not to have one bike with all the goodies and not the other, hence I left the Beringers on the Lc, along with the fancy levers and master cylinder, Nk billet top yoke and a couple of other parts. I just like building them really. Probably wont ride them much due to my back pain worstening when I sit on a bike - hip flexors don't like the riding position - even with standard footrests Dusty

Shame you won't ride them, I know about serious back issues. I have never ridden a PV but I can,t ride either because I had my license revoked after a stroke . Still, I have a friend with an LC currently in my garage and I am currently getting all the bits together to start my own LC project. So not all is lost. I wish you well and hope that you will be able to ride again. Regards, Aid.

Sorry to hear that Aid Hopefully you will get as much enjoyment from building them- I know I do. I can ride, just not far. I've had enough after an hour or so, so half an hour each way doesn't get you very far !! I start to get cramp in my hips and end up having to stop regularly to stretch them out. When I had the Ducati 900SS, that was a nightmare. I was about 15 miles from home when I started to get bad cramp in my hips and groin. Those miles were the most painful I've ever endured on a bike !! I got home and it was on Ebay later that day !! I'm all right up to a point and then when it starts to hurt nothing helps apart from getting off the bike. I always build them with the intention of riding them, but all too often they get sold and I buy another project, and start all over again !! Good luck with your project Dusty

show off , lol . stunning pair of bikes ,nice to see the paintwork in same design but different colours , compliment each other .. Show off indeed, he had me at 'centrally heated garage'Lol Both fantastic looking bikes, shame to hear that they won't get used much. I do understand about back/joint pain though, hence why I'm looking for a standard LC riding position, I think that the following power valve versions are out for me, the position seems more racer I think??

Get a lc2,wider bars than a lc How does the width make much difference? I'm mainly thinking of the lean angle to the bars, the lower they are, the worse it would be for my wrist joints and lower back.

Super stunning bikes Dusty, my favorite is the orange one for its originality and the colour is awesome. In my opinion when people try to do something different with a paint scheme there is a huge potential for it to look pants 👖but I think you got it perfect Matey. Really well done :-) cheers Mark
