I know they are not the same (tops etc.) but can someone who "knows for sure" just confirm for me if YPVS F1 forks will fit straight into an YPVS F2
And are they the same overall length ?.
Cheers

Right
They are all 35mm and all the yokes are the same ( apart from the r due to bearings only and the f1/2 due to ignition switch ring)
All wheels are the same fitment and f1/2 muddy and calipers the same.
So the fact is they will fit no problem
Whether they are the same length as each other to the mm God knows
I have a pair of f1 stanchions I can measure and compare to anybody with f2 measurements

Nice one thanks. I have a set of F2 forks in my track bike that are more like bouncy Pogo sticks , just look at the front brakes and they jam a cable cable tie marker into the underneath of the bottom yoke . Just trying to decide if to modify mine (possibly shorten the springs, add spacers, heavier weight oil etc.) or buy a set of supposedly sorted F1 forks ready to go in Decisions decisions..........

I'd go with cutting 4 or 5 coils, make up a spacer to compensate then fill with 15w oil
Have you tried adding air

Yeah I did the air before I rode it, as they felt too soft.
I tried them with 11 psi, which was the maximum allowed according the the Haynes manual ?
