Well been quiet on the rebuild due to Xmas and other things so glad to see something coming together 😁 Rebuilt the forks at my mates and picked up my coated frame and polished yolk, new taper bearings fitted and new yss shock arrived today, I don’t normally keep my bike in the lounge but it’s been raining all week and the shed is at the bottom of the garden so can’t take it out in the wet😂😂

Looking good Barney. I think it should stay in front of that radiator until Spring It's no good keeping it in a dark and damp shed !!Plus you'll build it much quicker if you are in the warm and dry Dusty

Just tell her how much it will be worth when it's done ! You wouldn't leave a painting worth thousands down the shed, so why would you do it to a bike as rare and desirable as an Lc ? And she gets time to spend with you whilst you rebuild it in the house - what more could she want Dusty

I can’t tell her how much it’s worth as she’ll know how much I’ve spent 😂😂😂

Ah well, never mind ! We are nearly out of January now, so February to go and then the weather in March starts to cheer up. Evenings are already starting to draw out, so shed time should start to get a bit more enjoyable Keep the updates coming. Dusty

Well done a little more and my mate has got the motor together just waiting for the side cases to come back from blasting and polishing a little peeved as whilst handling the motor a piece of the crankcases decided to shear off ffs from the front mount hopefully it won’t have any effect on it😬

Few more bits done Swinging arm now fitted had to get some shims made as when I originally offered it up the gap between dust cap and frame was around 2mm each side so a little slack! New rear muddy New yss shock Polished engine mounts Carbon headlight New switchgear Also do I have the bar clamps the right way up as there are 2 dots on them and I presume it shows orientation ? Next to tackle is the clocks then the wiring loom And I also have something special turning up hopefully Thursday 😁😁

Well haven’t touched the bike for a little while as it’s had to take a back seat due to a few things going on😬 Hoping to start getting it together a bit more the next couple of months so here’s the latest bits I’ve sorted really pleased with the wheels as a lot of work has gone into them and the nk disc conversion looks awesome can’t wait to get it in the frame

Put the wheels in tonight NKs rear disc conversion looks great in the metmachex swinger, front wheel needs to come back out though as when I torqued the spindle the wheel tightened up so will have to check spacers etc, After a lot of consideration I’ve ordered the new metmachex swinger with slotted adjusters just can’t help myself with this shiny stuff😬so I’ll be putting this one up for sale shortly Carbs are boxed up ready to go off to muttsnuts for a service and set up, Next up will be a tail tidy and then look at the wiring which I’m not looking forward to

Wow, looking really trick Barney That rear disc conversion looks fantastic. It's gonna be a lovely looking bike for sure. And I think the Met arm with the slotted adjusters is a good idea - sell your existing one and it wont seem an expensive swap Dusty
