Hi, I owned an RD80LC in the mid 80's and have owned various 'big' bikes since, but never really got over the loss of my little LC.
With my nostalgic head on, what would I be looking at spending to own an RD80 again?. I notice when they become available,a lot of them are German imports.
Also anything to look out for when searching?, rare/unobtainable parts etc. I don't even mind a full restoration, as I'm coming to the end of my 350 Resto and looking for another project.
Any help much appreciated.
ATB bezzer.

Hi a European one will set you back between £1300 to £2k an uk one anywhere from £2.5k upwards. I have both full restored but wouldn't consider selling at these prices.

Thanks LC_BOTT, TBH mate, it was seeing that ad on eBay that sparked my interest in doing an 80lc resto!. Doesn't seem a bad price as you say. Only thing that puts me off is registering it, I know people say it's easy, but I had a real nightmare trying to get a cagiva mito/350 project bike on the nova system that I bought off norbo ☹️. Thanks too sandpiper for the info/differences between U.K. And euro spec machines.

European is a rd125lc with an 80lc engine, uk is a completely different bike, uk is the way to go most valuable but that's my opinion.

Are you sure sandpiper?? the early ones are UK style 80's and the Mk2's (80lc-2 as they seem to call them) were 125 style based. as seen here... rd350lc.net/STORY80Europe.htm
