If you look closely, the last pic shows a shiny space where the VIN number should be ....so you may well be right !

The bike was bought from a Facebook for sale post by someone Eyrey1 knows and is nothing to do with Eyrye1 as far as ownership is concerned - he just posted in the For Sale section to see what interest there might be if it was broken. The bike is certainly a ringer as the frame number has been ground out. Just to make it clear Eyrey1 does not have access to the internet at all at the moment and the ebay listing is not under his ebay account or anything at all to do with him.

I really don't understand why anyone could end up buying that?
The first question I ask, even when buying a frame is 'is the frame number clear and looks untampered with?'.
With a legal frame with logbook, you are probably talking £500+ these days, so even if you were to consider this a doner bike; at that price and effort it's not worth it.
What's even more annoying is the seller obviously knows it it hooky (as he told Eyrey1, and why would eBay remove his add) so he is trying to deceive a potential purchaser and pass a known dodgy vehicle on?
Some people have no morals.
Jon

I asked the seller if it had a valid VIN number and if it matches the V5. This is his reply...
Hi Shaun, there is a visible frame number that matches the v5 but it looks as though it isn't done by the factory,it's just as I bought it,with a receipt and v5 present when I bought the bike.Regards Howard.
Make your own minds up! I won't be buying.

Jon bike was removed off ebay because he was reported for selling parts off ebay even though he didnt ! i had about 30 pm's from people wanting to buy parts from said dodgy bike ? plus 10 on the thread and they knew about the frame no !!! at least 5 wanted parts off the dodgy frame . so quick to judge you lot on here on something you know f**k all about ! bike is nothing to do with me ! i know the lad that bought it and went to look at it with him last 2 owners have bike shops and he has the receipts to prove .
