Fired up my newly built lc2 tonight and s bit gutted.
Engine fully rebuilt. New pistons, rings, crank and genuine seals
Pressure tested all good.
Carbs were bought refurbed but I fitted new needle valve anyway but never took the brass balls out
Sparking on both plugs.
Bike started not too bad but sounded like one cylinder was carrying the other
Both pipes getting hot but left cooler than right.
Left pipe smokes but right not very much
Knock the choke off and right cylinder drops out
I'll have to whip the carbs off I suppose
Running remote tank so not tap/tank prob.

I too had problems getting my LC bikes running well after rebuilds - seems to be the norm and takes a lot of patience as you hope that once its all together you can jump on it and just have fun. Check all the basics first. Are carbs balanced? are float heights correct? throttle valves fitted right way? ht leads ok? good quality new plugs? choke balance pipe fitted correct?
I'm not familiar with LC2, but do they have vacuum on fuel feed that may make a diference if you are using a remote tank?
If you need to take carbs off, as mentioned above definately worth cleaning the air correction circuit behind the brass balls. Plenty of info on that on here. Also check the main and pilot jets are clear, and I would remove the emulsion tubes and clean those too.
Good luck with it. Let ius know how you get on.

I had set the float heights when I changed the needle valves and seats
The jets are clear as I stripped them out to check they were the correct size and everything was spotless albeit I never removed the balls.
Later that night it dawned on me that as I'm doing 2 lc2 builds just now I have a second set of everything so stripped the spare carbs and cleaned them including behind the brass balls. New needle valves, seats and o rings fitted.
Just waiting on new brass balls being delivered and 240 mains as the ones fitted were 250's
I'll stick them on and see if it's any different

I had a similar problem recently, mine was a blocked oil feed in the right hand carb, Carbs were cleaned inspected before fitting, somehow something found its way into the system, 1st test run was fine, second time out not so fine, all the best,

Try and only use gen carb parts from Allens Performance as non gen will just run you round in circles .
My non gen floats cracked and used to stick, Found the old ones in the shed and popped them in , all ding dong

Well the brass balls and jets turned up yesterday so fitted them, thread lock on the balls 🤤 and fitted the carbs last night.
Left it till tonight for the threadlock to set
Fired up third kick, idled straight away, choke off after a minute and sounds sweet
Happy days.
Suppose I better get some brake fluid in it now, not doing that after the tank is on

Happy days. Bloody air correction circuit again! I'm thinking that's what it is The brass balls look like they are original but on closer inspection the carbs are not just clean, you can see the complete carb body is not smooth so suspect they have been vapour blasted Doing that without completely stripping out is just stupid Steve
