Hi I have just refitted the engine back into my 31k. I manage to get the bike started but its revving its t#ts off so killing it with the kill switch. I've checked both carbs and the throttle bodies don't seem to be sticking? I've also played around with the balance screws to no avail and the throttle cable seems routed correctly? Can anyone advise on what else I can check? Also if the throttle bodies were in the wrong carbs would this have an effect? So frustrating as nearly there with it but it's peeing down now so not too bad!
Any help would be so appreciated thanks,
Sean.

Cheers.

You got them fitted in the wrong bodies, swap them over

No rearward cutout is a half moon kind of shape, quite obvious if you study the slide, there is a locating peg in the body that also matches up with a groove on the slide That cut out is for the idle adjuster screw

Ok I see now thanks. Is this the correct one for the choke too? I'm a Muppet I know but it's the only way I'll learn 😳

I'm a Muppet I know but it's the only way I'll learn 😳 That slide is shown in the right position for the left hand Carb as pictured, so fit like that, the cut out again is the idle screw stop, on the other side of the slide you can see the dot for the cable adjustment that can be seen through the window on the body.

Nice result, easy thing to get wrong if you've not done it before. Bet you're breathing easier now too.

Mr Kipling,
Had a friend do the same thing on his F2 ypvs, he decided to bump start it sitting side saddle, the thing shot off like a rocket with my mate running along side of it, looked like he was running at warp speed before him and the bike ended up in a big heap on the floor, he ended up with a nice cut to his arm and missing the May day run...
