HI I have jus bough an old LC and it feels much lower that the one I had 30 years ago. Does the rear shock absorber wear out over time and will a new one provide more height / clearance off the back end. Thank

They do wear out and sag over time
You can buy an adjustable yss shock for just over £200

I've got a Nitron and a YSS. The Nitron is a top quality shock - really well made. The YSS is a great shock for the price - probably around £170 cheaper than a Nitron now. If money is no object, then Nitron. If you want a great value shock, same 2 year guarantee as a Nitron, and same adjustability, then a Yss will allow you to spend £170 on something else Dusty

As dusty says save yourself a bit , I've just faced this dilemma and went yss just fitted it and I'll tell you what I'm over the moon quality wise it looks spot on , and it's allowed me to buy some hagon fork springs and I'm still in pocket. No brainer👍

On ebay... only joking! A while back Fowlers were doing cheap F2 shocks and I looked them up for you earlier today and sadly they now say 'NLA' against that part number. The few of us who got one were happy and I wish Id got 2 now. You'll be happy with the YSS, Ive several of them and use them on my XT500.

If it is a track bike have you considered an R6 shock?
