Need to get my Hagon shock off my bike for servicing but it has not been off the bike for several years and it was one of the first things to be fitted so what is the best way to remove it from a complete bike ?
I have no centre stand too, yikes !

I put a trolley jack under the engine when it was on the paddock stand it was also secured to the rafters with tie down straps the crossed my fingers and didn't allow anyone into my garage until I was finished

I don't have any means of supporting it from above I'm afraid
The only way I see it it is to remove the exhausts and support the bike under the frame rails ?

That's what I did and using a hydraulic motorcycle jack similar to this link, because these bikes are fairly light you can easily knock it of the jack if not properly secured so keep that in mind.

Not sure if the LC is the same as the LC2 and I have a centre stand
I removed the right hand exhaust mount and the footrest hanger and swung the exhaust outwards, then removed the battery
There was just enough room to remove the lower H bolt
The top bolt is then removed through the escape hole in the battery box
I guess you could make some device to clamp the front wheel to hold the bike upright, I have the floor mounted bike stands, similar to what you have on a bike trailer, they'd do the job for you

Just done it with big pieces of wood under the frame below the engine I lifted the back end up while the Missus put the wood under !, job done
I suppose getting the exhausts off, I had a peek up the exhaust ports with a torch and looked good and no blow by on the rings Intake side may be another matter LOL
Also shows the Exol Optima is working !
