I wish to use two separate heads on my YPVS 350, could I use the ones fitted to the YZ engine or are there any other options ?

Chris, if it's for optimum squish I'd have to say it's a lot of work for that.
Far better to get the cylinders optimised and matched via machining IMO.
Also consider temperature sender. Original setup sends signal for the temperature of both cylinders. A duel sender is excessive, whereas relying on 1 is risky if the circuits are split.
Perhaps it's for another reason? If it's because you can, then fair play.

I did it on my LC. Run two temperature senders with two digital displays. Extra plumbing. I chopped the original head in half and made the rest up as I went along.

It is for a race bike build and I prefer the option of being able to work on cylinders individually, plus my lathe/mill wont take a one piece head for re profiling the chambers . The ypvs does not look as straight forward as the earlier bike due to the coolant connections.

Coolant connections are pretty much the same between LC and YPVS. You have to make new connections for in and out times two. No room for thermostat, but could fit one inline. Damn.... My photobucket is jiggered again..... Just browse in here if you can.... s1224.photobucket.com/user/4l04ever/library/

Get an aftermarket head with removable domes with o-rings, like the wicked motorsports torque head with factory thermostat location.

Funny, I looked into a Yamaha head that might fit a single YPVS barrel for a different reason. I only wanted to use one barrel on a different engine case.
Saw the YZ heads looked like a similar stud pattern (but not confirmed).
Disguarded it in the end as the waterways didn't look like they'd line up at all.
Going to cut a YPVS head in half and only use one chamber. Got mine a year or more ago when heads with 1 damaged combustion chamber went for around £25. Not so now!
