The problem is that most painters or suppliers will not divulge their secrets so others will copy
RS paints will mix it for you or make rattle cans.
If getting rattle cans ask for solvent based as the also do water based.
Both go on well but you can't wet sand the water based stuff

I would have thought that there was a generic code for the Yamaha white

Which model YPVS
Early Lc2 was New Pearl white
Later Lc2 was Silky white
N1 was Clean white
No one will give a ral code for them
The good thing with the current trend in new cars being popular in metalic whites means next set I do im just going to see which one is nearest and use that

Yes but Xavier, no one can make paint from those Yamaha codes.
Ive been thinking for ages that I would love it if on your site you have two things:
1, the best of the paint mix threads with modern paint codes, like the info from the thread I quoted above, either from NOS panels or info from a good painter - Maybe the guy who closing up this year would share his recipe for his colours?
2, pics of NOS or OEM bikes from all angles for decal placement.

Hello Jon,
For the 1, since it's knowledge of painters, I don't think they will share !
For the 2 I have this target for a while and recently I have found nice pics which could help...but I need time to update my site...

No worries Xavier, if you look at the link I posted it has some info from the painters in it, one of the guys on that site also did the red and others. Same forum a few threads in the same section.
