Guys, not a "how much I am selling" thread, more of "I am not sure!"
I have a customer who has an LC frame (UK one), but no V5 or Reg Plate, and hasn't a clue what he wants for it, I am not needing one, so said I'd ask for approx value
Frame is 4L1 - number is hidden under powder coat, but should be ok. Non-tie bar, centre stand lugs intact, side stand lug there, bottom steering lock stop missing, bottom yoke/bearing housing slightly misshaped, all easily fixable
Also, he has a set of very nice clocks, but they have had an MPH face overlaid the KMH clocks, but they look the part, no trip knob, but the cases are very good (maybe new) and overall I'd give them an 8/10 condition wise - again, so idea on value
I'll try and get some photo's of them as that always helps, he is having a load of work done by me, so I said I'd try and find out their approx value, not sure what he intends doing with them, probably selling them, but I won't know for sure until we have some idea on value.
My initial thoughts where
Frame - £125 to £150 Clocks - £125 to £150
But its been a while since I've bought any parts like that
Thanks in advance

Absolutely no idea - does the frame have the VIN number intact?

The frame number needs to be made visible so a valid receipt can be given and for HPI check to be carried out....as nobody wants one that is flagged as stolen....
Value for the frame....about £100 as fair amount of work required and no paper work....

is Yoshi still doing the dvla checks, used to be able to give him frame number and he would give you reg number if registered on dvla database , will, could be worth the tenner..as it will be at least worth £300 with logbook

the frame id say more like £50 as you need to get a year related plate for it and this alone has a cost and its an 250 frome with a V5 the last one i did was just £180 ready to go . a 350 one more like £350 with a V5 The clocks do look real nice id say a good £180 for them

Even with legit numbers doesn't the frame need building into a full LC with little or no mods to get an age related plate? Jon

if the bike has been road registered before he can get the logbook for it, if Yoshi still does it, you give him the chassis number, he tell you the bike details and reg you just apply for new logbook, I have done it myself. I think he charges £15

I would be interested in the frame but only to build a track bike for my two sons. Let me know if it dosn't sell.
Cheers, Aid.
