FOUND IT! Bent bloody swingarms....
Borrowed a swinger from a mate that was on a running bike before it was torn down for resto a few years back, and lo n behold everything now lines up. Phew!
So Ive now got to test this setup in my other frame to be sure (lets hope ive not jumped the gun on this here!) and then get my other swingers straightened.

Thanks guys, but yes its an LC output shaft with an LC spacer. If i fit the yovs spacer I can get the chains to line up.... but I shouldnt have to d that... Athers, I'll check again today, but im 99% sure the LH 350 spacer is 14-15ish mm from memory. The 250 has a larger diameter plate on it, so you cant really confuse those plates, I'll check the length of the spacers today and report back, but looking at the sizes of the seals they fit into, they have a different diameter and hence will only fit the right plates. Yep you are correct, the L/H 350 wheel spacer is 15mm and also the plate is much bigger on the 250 wheel. Cheers guys I think we sorted the wheel spacers anyway.
