what is the best paint to coat the black engine cases with. Dose it have to be heat resistant for the clutch side or will normal spray paint be ok with the heat. Am after satin black finnish not gloss.

i used a normal brush on car paint before...that was gloss and it came out fine...wasnt VHT or anything...

i used simoniz gloss from a rattle can............it shines

I use any can from a car shop, Anything will do It only has to be heat paint on the barrels and pipes . But having said that i have used normal paint on barrels with my gun met ypvs you can see on the front page ,

many thanks, have used normal matt to touch up case on the bike. Have got an undamaged case on the way and will try PJ1 matt engine case paint

sorry you are right i did want satin, checked in local bike shop they stock it but may use same satin as i used on horns and top yoke.

i've used that sperex tough black on my rd 250 a/c and that was pretty good stuff
