Hi Whats the differences between a German 80lc and a 125lc, are they a 125 with an 80 engine dropped in or is there any other differences? Thanks

You mean the German 80LC MK2 ?
Exhaust and carb obviously
Swing arm is different Rear shock has different part number, possibly to suit lighter riders? (aged 16 in Germany) Frame slightly different for engine mounts All electrics are different, main loom, inc switch gear (also clutch perch iirc) Air box rubbers narrower Different battery box Speedo Right footpeg holder/exhaust mount Front disc is slotted Right footpeg isn't sprung (stays up for kick starter)

The MK1 is smaller /moped size and the only RD80LC known to most of the world. In Germany the 80cc's were very popular, so for whatever reason Yamaha turned the RD125 and DT125 into 80's. They are more common than the actual 125s in Germany.
