Hi all I'm after some help, I have an f2 I am going to put on a 31k top yoke and some bars a) I hope all the loom and controls have long enough cables ... I can see the front braided hoses will not be.. the hose from the master cylinder goes to the front right calliper (sitting on the bike) off of that hose is a joiner for another hose which comes off to the left calliper my questions are
A) should I have a hose splitter on the front B) if I get a replacement hose kit for the front from say hel or Goodrich front brake kit will it be for the bike if it had a splitter C) could I get a longer hose to the right caliper then one from that calliper off the banjo over the top of the mudguard to the left calliper
I have not explained this to well have I 😬
Thanks in advance

There should be a splitter bolted to the bottom yoke, I have got a 3 line set of hoses, can't remember if they're HEL or something else and I have a splitter if you don't have one, that would solve your problems 😄👍

Go to a shop who does the Goodridge Build-a-line kits and just get the parts you need.

I must be lucky as two local shops have them. B&J Bikes in Willenhall and QB Bikes in Quarry Bank.

Please keep us advised as to how the project goes as I've been thinking about doing exactly the same thing.

You could use a longer banjo bolt on the master cylinder and have 2 long hoses and do away with the splitter, friend did it on gsx1100 many years ago, looked good.

That's a bit drastic , brake hoses aren't that much of an issue surely?

That's a bit drastic , brake hoses aren't that much of an issue surely? It is a drastic measure but.. i am not to sure how the bike will look with normal bars etc plus I can be assed to mess about with it I always fancied an lc2 so this has made my mind up, sold the f2 (reasonable I thought) injecting more money into an lc2.

How far did you get with the conversion project?? You obviously needed longer hoses but how about the throttle and clutch cables - were these long enough?? Also what about the switchgear, are the cables long enough?? As I posted earlier, I'm thinking about doing this conversion with my N2 (but I haven't got round to dragging it out yet and measuring things up) - I was hoping that you would do all the ground work for me!!!! lol

I got the top yokes and the handlebars then the master cylinder cable ground me to a halt. I always wanted a 31k so I sold my f2 and a few other toys and am awaiting delivery of my 31k from mike (kopite 30) 👍 good luck with the conversion, I have top yokes if you need them??

I'm hoping that the wiring and cables will be long enough but the 31K bars do seem to be quite a bit higher than the clip-ons on the F2/N2 - hence you needing a longer brake hose. I'll have to extract my bike from the back of the garage and do some measuring up. If it does look like being a reasonably simple conversion then I would be looking for a 31K top yoke and handlebar set and would be very interested in yours. Cheers, Tony.
Forgot to say - nice 31K!!!!!
