Stargixxer you are a gent and were obviously a great friend to him. My condolences to you and his family.
Looks like a really nice job on the LC, I am sure she will do you proud on the day.

Saddened to hear of your loss what a lovely gesture for your friend I hope he had time to enjoy the bike before his illness got the best of him.

What an amazing story. You sound like a true friend. A rare thing these days. Very sad news but please take comfort knowing he knew what a good and loyal friend you were. I think riding it to the funeral would be very fitting indeed.

Sad news Stargixxer. Take comfort it knowing it's a good thing that you did and that it gave him something to smile about. RIP fellow smoke maker.
Incidentally, are you from North East Scotland somewhere (near me) just noticed LCs are Aberdeen and Inverness registrations?

Thanks all. The funeral is tomorrow morning. I won't ride with the escort as I've been asked to help fulfill some duties by his widow which I'm more than happy to do, to help her day go a little easier. My friend knew this was coming, so had everything in place, it's been very well advertised locally and there should be north of 100 bikes escorting him on his last ride (it's a Harley sidecar hearse), as well as his fellow Sergeant Majors from our Regiment being his bearers. We will be passing on all donations to St. Columbus Hospice to so carefully looked after him in his last days. What great work they do. www.eastlothiancourier.com/news/15126479.Wife_of_county_biker_who_died_after_battle_with_cancer_pays_tribute_to_her__soulmate_/
