Got a white power but bike isn't finished so cannot comment I also have a white power shock on my F2. Very pleased with it.

Dusty On the side of the body ( by the engraved "Y" and the "Y" on the sticker is a nut with a screw within... Is this another adjustment point or the fill valve for gas / oil ?

Hi mate Don't think it's adjustment. You can adjust these shocks for length - as you wind the adjustable end out you will see a small drilled hole in the threadway - you shouldn't extend that end any further once that becomes visible. They are adjustable for preload - you have to undo a tiny grub screw in the adjuster ring before you start winding it up or down. And they are adjustable for rebound damping via the knurled rebound knob - turning to the right (clockwise) will increase rebound damping. Maximum of 60 clicks. There is no compression damping on these shocks - you need the ones with a piggyback reservoir, and they have a S-M-H setting on the back of the res. With the rebound damping, if the bike feels bouncy you should increase the setting. If it feels hard and bumpy then you should decrease it. I would find the halfway point and go from there. Dusty

Interesting.. YSS has improved their products considerably since I bought from them. Rebound Damping is THE important shock function.. gotta keep the spring expansion well controlled or one has a Pogo stick. Adjustment capability can be useful to fine tune. Compression fiddling is ok but hardly critical... or IMO worth paying more for.

You are welcome Tout Never seen a Shock Factory item so I personally can't comment on them. But I've got a Nitron and 2 x YSS and would happily buy either again depending on my finances at the time. It's gonna be hard to beat the YSS on value ! Dusty

I cannot comment on any other manufacturer but I have bought 3 shocks from Hagon two were monoshocks and were fantastic as they get your weight and spec the shock to your needs,I also bought a set of twin shocks for my cruiser and had a slight problem with the polished stainless canisters rubbing and marking,I contacted Hagon to tell them and they bent over backwards to help nothing was too much trouble absolutely fantastic company to deal with.

I am having a shock made for my slow going lc project, it is being made by the motorcycle racing guys at Penske, I had one made for my rz hybrid and I am very happy with these guys; they really know their stuff and they are somewhat local to me. The problem with the lc is that they where never imported to the US so these guys have no specs for this bike, so they have to go by the lc geometry. I see a lot of you have them made longer and I am thinking that is the way to go but how long? 330mm? and, what spring rate are you guys running? I’m about 175lb, thanks.
