I'm putting an RD 250 LC back together, its been in boxes for about 5 years. I've had most the parts I need from Norbo. but can anybody recommend paint to make my cylinders, exhausts and engine side covers look like new again? and where can I get it from?

as a quick answer for the cylinders id use hammerite high temp engine paint but wait for conformation from norbo, if you look at nutter2200 home page theres a piccy on there of the finish norbo gets with what ever paint he uses

There are many paints that are good and i vave used loads of types. I use firecoat as a bace coat and heat dispersment paint for barrels and the same firecoat on the exhoursts but Spirex engine enamel as the finishing coat but only 1 thin coat as i dont like a very hi glos finish . I like a satin finish. Nutters barrels where the first i have used the heat dispersment on and i realy like how they look so i will be doing them all with it from now on . It gives a slitely textured look that looks realy nice.

Only thing to add is Spray them hot heat them up infront of the fire dont spray cold or the paint will go white and may run. the hotter the better .
